BG Radia Z 7 Tower Speaker Pair with Neo3 PDR Tweeter and Two 5.25 Inch Aluminum Cone Shielded Woofer and Cherry Hardwood Finish. is their website.Item: 284843996216 New PD-6csi BG Radia (Bohlender-Graebener) Speaker Inwall/inceiling 6'' High End. I turn them on at a low/medium level all day long. Double what the manual says IMO (100 hours). But, you WILL need a subwoofer to enjoy these with any kind of music. These speakers, from the smallest set to the flagship model, don't have an ounce of bass. Also, you will hear everyone say that they will need a powered sub. If you plan to krank them, they will need a 4 ohm stable load at a minimum to avoid shutting down your receiver. The LA-550 is a hybrid cone/planar speaker with four 5.25-inch bass/midbass cone woofers coupled with six BG Neo8 wideband planar drivers arranged in a line-array configuration. True for every speaker that better equipment will make them sound better, but they will run on standard receivers. Currently occupying my (otherwise orderly) living room are three BG Radia LA-550 two-way in-wall speakers for the left, center, and right channels. Some will say they require expensive equipment to sound good. Bohlender Graebener speakers come standard with a LIFETIME warranty. Sansai 39cm Mini 5.0V Bluetooth Soundbar Wireless Speaker USB/AUX 3.5mm/FM Radio. Magnepans and ML speakers are much more fragile. Martin Logan's are said to be good but only for softer music. All their speakers are way under rated and under priced IMO. Just bought a set of Radia 520's yesterday believe it or not. I've owned 3 sets of BG Radia speakers from Bohlender Graebener. I always recomend a sub but BG is particualrly weak on the low end. You need to budget in a sub when going with BG. I always know what my customer is getting when I recommend BG. Each speaker has a driver compliment of : (2) 6.5' low-freq drivers (sealed), (2) NEO 10' drivers, and (1) NEO 3 drive. They stand behind their products with a lifetime warranty and offer strong customer support. They offer a unique sound that is very forgiving to your room and seating arrangement. Why do I carry them? Sound wise I prefer them over the other planar brands out there. there's not a lot of margin compared to other more traditional brands and BG's demo discount program is one of the worst I've ever seen (they are working on this by the way). IMO the reason that a lot of dealers don't carry them. The R-18i is easy to drive and compatible with any high-quality amplifier or a/v receiver. A two-way design, this model features both a 4 woofer and 4 passive radiator coupled with BG’s patented Neo8 PDR wideband planar ribbon driver. There aren't a lot of dealers out there so it may be hard to demo a wide variety of their models. Summary of Contents for Bg Radia Series R-18i. They look great, sound great, and are unique. Of course, the more power the better !Īs far as to "what most people are saying" I'd like to see how many "most people" have actually heard and listened to BG's high end products. A $1000 receiver should provide enough power to even their top models. They aren't thirsty for power and are fine with an 8 ohm receiver. Some of their higher end models are amazing because they virtually have no sweet spot at all. I am a BG dealer and thus am very familiar with their products.
